Ugpi’ganjig Trading Post currently ships within Canada ONLY.

We do not ship to the United States (USA) or any other international destinations at this time.

Shipping Information

How long will it take to receive my order?

We work hard to process and ship your orders as quickly as possible.

• Standard Orders: Processed within 1–3 business days.
• Large Orders: Orders over $250 may require additional processing time.
• Custom Beaded Earrings: Approximately 3–5 business days to create.
• Custom Medallions: Approximately 7 business days to create, depending on the design.
• Shipping: Ready-to-ship orders are generally dispatched within 1–3 business days.

Please note that processing times do not include shipping transit times. Holidays, large orders, and custom creations may require additional time.

We recommend planning ahead when ordering custom beadwork.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship exclusively within Canada.

We do not accept or fulfill orders requiring shipping to the United States or other international destinations.

All orders must have a valid Canadian shipping address.

What shipping methods are available?

We use several shipping carriers, including Canada Post, depending on your location and the shipping service selected.

For your peace of mind, all shipped orders use tracked shipping services.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email containing your tracking information.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout based on your package's weight, destination, and selected shipping service.

We are pleased to offer:

• FREE tracked shipping on Canadian orders over $200 before taxes.
• Flat-rate shipping of $20 for eligible Canadian destinations, including remote areas, when this option is available at checkout.
• Calculated tracked shipping rates for other orders.

Free shipping applies to eligible Canadian orders only.

When will my package be shipped?

Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays.

We do not ship on weekends or statutory holidays.

Orders placed on Friday evenings, weekends, or holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

Selecting an expedited shipping service does not eliminate standard order processing times.

Local Pickup & In-Person Shopping

Is local pickup available?

Yes! We are pleased to offer FREE local pickup from our Cumberland, Ontario location.

Important: Our Cumberland location is not currently open for walk-in shopping.

We are working toward offering personalized in-person shopping visits by appointment only. Appointment availability and booking information will be announced when this service becomes available.

In the meantime, our online store remains open for orders.

Custom Beadwork Orders

What materials are used for beadwork?

Our handmade beadwork is created using quality materials selected for each design.

Depending on the item, materials may include:

• Nickel-free and hypoallergenic earring findings
• Gold-coloured findings upon request
• Pellon beading felt or Good Felt
• Deer or moose leather backing
• Decorative and sparkly backing materials
• Quality seed beads and other embellishments

Each handmade creation is unique, and selected pieces may be showcased on our social media pages.

How long do custom beadwork orders take?

Custom beadwork requires additional time for design and creation.

Estimated creation times:

• Beaded Earrings: 3–5 business days per pair
• Beaded Medallions: Approximately 7 business days or longer, depending on complexity
• Other Custom Orders: Timelines will be provided when your order is confirmed

Once completed, custom orders are generally shipped within 1–3 business days.

Please allow additional time during busy periods.

How do I place a custom beadwork order?

We welcome custom beadwork inquiries!

Please contact us with the following information:

• The type of beadwork you would like
• Preferred colours, patterns, or styles
• Any reference photographs or previous Ugpi’ganjig Trading Post designs you would like us to consider
• Your preferred completion date

We will provide a quote based on the materials and time required.

Custom beadwork orders must be paid in full before work begins.

As a general guideline, custom beadwork is calculated at approximately $20 per hour plus materials and applicable shipping costs.

For example, a pair of earrings requiring three hours of work and $5 in materials would cost approximately $65 before taxes and shipping.

Final pricing and timelines will be confirmed before payment.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

• Major credit cards through Shopify Payments
• PayPal
• Interac e-Transfer (EMT)

Interac e-Transfers are available to Canadian customers only.

What if my billing and shipping addresses are different?

Please ensure that your shipping address is complete and accurate before placing your order.

Orders will be shipped to the address entered during checkout.

If an incorrect address results in a package being returned or requiring reshipment, additional shipping charges may apply.

Important: If you are shipping to a PO Box, please select Canada Post. Other carriers generally require a physical street address.

First Nations Tax Exemption

Do you offer First Nations tax exemptions?

Yes. Ugpi’ganjig Trading Post recognizes eligible First Nations tax exemptions in accordance with applicable Canadian tax regulations.

Eligibility may depend on Indian status documentation, shipping destination, and other requirements established by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Please visit our First Nations Tax Policy page for details on eligibility and required documentation.

Applicable taxes are charged to orders that do not qualify for an exemption.

Shipping charges are taxed where required by law.

Missing, Damaged & Delayed Orders

What if my package is missing an item?

We apologize if an item is missing from your order.

Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your package at:

Include your order number, the missing item, and any relevant information.

We will review your order and work with you to resolve the issue.

What if my order arrives damaged or defective?

We take care when packaging your order, but occasionally items may be damaged during transit.

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us as soon as possible with:

• Your order number
• Photographs of the damaged item
• Photographs of the packaging, if applicable
• A brief description of the issue

We will review the situation and assist you with the appropriate next steps.

Please retain the original packaging until the issue has been resolved.

What if my package hasn't arrived?

If your package is delayed or appears to be missing, please first review the tracking information provided by the shipping carrier.

If more than 21 days have passed since your order shipped and you have not received your package, please contact us at:

We will assist you in investigating the delay with the carrier.

Tracked shipments may include shipping insurance, subject to the carrier's terms and coverage limits.

Where applicable, we will assist with the information needed to submit a claim.
